Instead of the traditional air ticket, a Flight Itinerary with your travel details will be emailed or handed to you after you have made your payment. It is important that you provide correct numbers where you can be reached.

You do not have to bring your Flight Itinerary with you for check-in. All you need to remember is your Booking Number, or mention your name. You must show your identity card or passport for identification and check-in purposes.

It is more convenient and so much easier to travel this way. You do not have to bring a ticket along – it is one less thing to forget! And most importantly, it helps us keep our costs low so that we can pass on these savings back to you and keep your fares low!

The only documentation you have to bring are those you should have with you at all times – your Identity Card, or if you are a tourist, your Passport.

Print your itinerary with the confirmation number. Have it handy for your flight. Air Asia is a ticketless airline.

In line with the growing demand, Firefly is said to have 12 ATR72-500s and seven Boeing 737 jets by end 2011.

The upgrading process includes facilities allowing customers to manage their bookings and perform web check-in’s while on the move, enable payment through direct debit, acceptance of selected foreign currency. The upgrading also involves code sharing with Malaysia Airlines which will enable check-through for passengers and their baggage for onward journeys.

The upgrading is expected to complete in 3 days from June 17-19. The customer may experience limited services online as the reservation and distribution system will be temporarily suspended. SIA said the new carrier will “enable the airline to serve a largely untapped new market and cater to the growing demand among consumers for low-fare travel.”

SIA said on May 12 that full-year net profit rebounded strongly from the global recession as travel demand recovered.

While Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia has recently announced on their fuel surcharge, Firefly today has confirmed not to impose any fuel surcharge on its passengers but will continue to absorb the increase in fuel prices.
