AirAsia X’s passengers on long-haul AirAsia X flights can now enjoy greater comfort with the introduction of flatbed seats. Such services is first of its kind in the low-cost carrier business. The new flatbed seats are the result of all the feedback that AirAsia X received on their services.
The new flatbeds come with standard business class specifications of 50.8cm wide and 152.4cm distance between one seat and the next, with the ability to stretch out to 195.58cm in full recline position. The seats will also feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities like tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screen.
The airline is currently upgrading its whole fleet with the new seats for all long-haul flights to Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast, Taipei, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu, London, Mumbai and New Delhi and the refurbishment is expected to be completed by June.
The new enhancement is giving the ‘AirAsia flying experience’ a new meaning and elevating the brand to a higher level.
On top of the above, premium seat guests will get to enjoy the following premium complimentary product and services: Pick A Seat, Priority Check-in, Priority Boarding, Priority Baggage, Baggage Allowance, Combo Meal and Comfort Kit.
